Fireplace Room

On the ground floor you enter the spacious Fireplace Room, which is equipped with a wardrobe and sofa bed (1.40m wide) and can thus also serve as a fourth room for two people. The old ceiling beams and the brick floor are original, i.e. also 200 years old, and together with the wood-burning stove they make up the rustic style of this room. In the past, this was the stable for the Boskarin (Istrian breed of cattle) ;-).

It has two windows, one facing north with a view of the back garden and the greenery. The second large window with a bench in front of it, facing south, offers a wonderful view of the front garden, the lavender, and the rose arch. The cosy seat in the window has become one of our favourite places :-).

A newly restored desk with a large monitor now makes working in the home office not only possible, but also very pleasant.

The door—the entrance door of the house—leads to the front garden to the south. Since the house can also be entered via the kitchen and via the balcony, it can be used undisturbed as a bedroom thanks to the separate entrance.
