Climbing in Istria

There are a number of good climbing routes in Istria. There are over 100 routes in Limski Kanal alone, a climbing garden in Rovinj, and also many spots in the area around Buzet. Absolutely try it!

KLETTERSPOT - LIMSKI KANAL The Limski Fjord with over 100 routes is one of the top climbing areas in Croatia. The valley stretching from Pazin towards the sea offers several sectors along the canal. In the summer, the walls are in the shade from 5 pm and can be climbed then. The best seasons, however, are spring, autumn, and winter. Difficulty 4 to 8a

KLETTERSPOT - ROVINJ The climbing garden in Rovinj is ideal for summer holidays. Here you climb with stunning views of the old town of Rovinj. Even in midsummer you can climb well in the morning and when the sun comes to the rocks from noon, you can relax after the sport well on the beach. 98 routes with difficulties from 4 to 7a

BUZETSKI KANJON The canyon is located on the outskirts of Buzet and is easy to find. In the four different sectors, just about every climber will find suitable routes to climb. Far more amazing next to the excellently equipped routes is the fact that there are already many more routes than can be found in the most up-to-date guide books. 85 routes with difficulties from 6a to 8b+

HC Really nice climbing spot next to a non-frequented road. The routes are in best rock and all are newly furnished. Here you will rarely find other people climbing, as the spot is very unknown. 8 routes from 6b to 8c.

KLETTERSPOT - CEPIC The small picturesque village of Cepic hides a small but impressive climbing spot: following the small road in the village, you get into a gorge, which is dominated by not too high rocks. In summer you can always find good opportunities to climb in the shade. Attention: The climbing garden is on private property. Be careful not to block the road. It is best to park in the village and walk a few minutes. 39 routes with difficulties from 4 to 7b
