Restaurants in the neighborhood

The area is known for its truffles, wine, and excellent olive oil. The surrounding restaurants offer many truffle dishes. Near Villa Stanisi there is the Agroturizam Selo Mekisi (1.5 km) or the Restaurant Jadruhi (2.5 km), which offers simple but good Istrian cuisine. The owner of Jadruhi, Dario Simonovic, has parts of his wineries right behind our house; he also speaks very good German.

If you like pizza or pasta, you get it in the Pizzeria Alto in Karoiba. It is especially recommended for families with children. Every imaginable wish regarding pasta and pizza is fulfilled, and at incredibly low prices. Here you can also pre-order and then pick it up.

A true top restaurant (Croatia's only Michelin-starred restaurant since 2017) is Restaurant Monte in Rovinj. If you prefer something a little more special, it is definitely worth a visit. However, you should definitely reserve a table here (as there are only a few tables). Of course, the prices here are a bit higher, but for a special occasion it is really a special experience.

We always ate very well at Agroturizam Tikel, which is located on the Parenzana route, so you can easily get there by bike or on foot.

The Agroturizam Tončić is a bit hidden behind Oprtalj, you might want to combine your visit with a tour of the medieval town.
