Vizinada is the nearest town, about 3 km away. There is a small grocery store with fresh bread, 2 small cafes, an ATM and a tourist information.
Livade, 'the' truffle town in Istria, is less than 18 km away. There is also a small supermarket, a honey shop (the chestnut honey you should try!) And an exclusive truffle shop and restaurant.
Motovun is one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Istria. It sits picturesquely above the Mirnatales on a mountain, surrounded by vineyards, orchards and oak forests. The old town of Motovun is surrounded by an impressive walkable city wall, on which it is easy to stroll. From there you have a fantastic view of the historic old town and the beautiful surroundings. Motovun hosts numerous art and cultural events every year. Among the most famous events is the International Motovun Film Festival, which takes place every year from late July to early August. Groznjan (16 km) is a beautiful artist village that is well worth a visit. Musicians, sculptors and painters have saved this beautiful mountain village with its historic buildings from decay. Since 1968, every summer (late June to mid-September), young musicians meet in Groznjan and contribute with concerts to the extravagant flair of this mountain village. After a stroll in the medieval streets with cobblestones, a visit to the café opposite the church is highly recommended (the cake is delicious).
Istarske Toplice is a wellness center (about 23 km away) offering various massages, physical therapies and medicinal fishing. In the outdoor pool you can also swim in sulfur-rich thermal water..
Porec (15km) is the largest tourist town on the west coast of Istria. Bars, cafes and restaurants can be found there in large numbers in the picturesque streets of the old town, which is mainly pedestrian. A walk along the harbor moor around the peninsula is especially popular in the evening. For those interested in culture, the Euphrasian Basilica, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage monuments, is a very worthwhile destination.
